What is a response time?
An ambulance response time is defined as the time it takes an ambulance and paramedics to arrive on-scene from the time the 9-1-1 call is received.
How are response times reported?
Ambulance response times for Prince Edward Island are reported quarterly and reflect information gathered over a three-month time frame.

What other information is reported?
In addition to the response times, the report includes the total number of ambulance calls for each coverage zone during that same three-month time period and what percentage of total provincial calls that reflects.
The report also includes the top-five most common pre-hospital ambulance calls.
