The Health Information Management Division is responsible for:

WHAT WE DO
The role of the Health Information Unit (HIU) is to provide quality health information to management and staff across the health system to inform system planning, evaluation, and evidence-based decision making. Responsibilities include: supporting key performance indicator updates for Health PEI; serving as the primary contact for CIHI and national data-driven initiatives; researching measurement standards and benchmarks; creating data collection tools and methodology; leveraging information collected in various electronic systems; conducting statistical analyses; writing reports; and creating/delivering presentations to support knowledge dissemination.
