Blood Services
Blood services in Canada fall within the mandate of the Canadian Blood Service (CBS).
Created in 1998, CBS is a national, non-profit, charitable organization which manages the blood supply for Canadians, and is responsible for recruiting donors and collecting blood.
CBS owns and operates all aspects of the blood supply system.
