Mission statement
Addictions services offers a broad range of preventative, promotive, and supportive services to residents of Prince Edward Island. These services assist in preventing, reducing, and eliminating the potential and harmful effects of alcohol, other drugs, and gambling.
The Provincial Addictions Treatment Facility officially opened in March 2000, and admits both men and women across the Island. In addition, there are two adolescent beds used for short-term stabilization.
There are 24 inpatient withdrawl management beds and the withdrawl management unit has two separate sections for men and women. Each of these sections have their own kitchenette and television room.
The rehabilitation unit consists of 16 inpatient beds as well as a kitchenette and television room.
The cafeteria provides meals for the inpatients as well as the rehabilitation clients, and is available for staff to purchase meals.
