Primary Health Care Networks

This strategy focuses on enhanced services in Primary Health Care Networks so that Islanders can receive the services they need close to home and access to physician services within 30 km of home.

There are 5 Primary Health Care Networks – Kings, Queens East, Queens West, Prince East and Prince West. Each network has a core team: manager, medical director, administrative supervisor, secretary/clerk and a nursing clinical lead.

Each network has several sites with a basket of services available. The services will respond to the needs of the community. For example each network would have a RN, LPN, physicians, Nurse Practioner, and administrative/clerical staff.
